Phoenix knows how to get beginners started. People want to try before they buy. People need to experience and feel the training to decide if it is right for them. Phoenix training is developmental, challenging and fun. We get beginners to start at set times to ensure they have people at the same level to start with and then build a team and integrate that team with everyone else over the next few weeks.

ADULTS:
A FREE ONE WEEK INTRODUCTORY COURSE IS HELD DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF EVERY MONTH.

  • Adults (15+) get a entire week to experience Phoenix. During this week, we ensure you start in a group with other beginners and learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai while experiencing the great training with no obligation to join. We lend you equipment and you can train every day or just do one class. You will be with other beginners, and have a dedicated experienced coach to get you off to a solid start.
  • When Can I do my FREE Intro course? The first Monday of every Month is the start of TRIAL WEEK. You must book, as numbers are limited. From the Monday you can do every beginner Class that week. You can start on any day of the week and do as little or as much as you want to. 
  • The trial is a calendar week, not a 7 day period. 

CHILDREN:

  • Children’s Classes >> You can do a FREE TRIAL ( IN THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF SCHOOL TERM ) at the time slot that is for your Childs age group.
  • You must book as numbers are limited.

If you would like to talk and look first. You can do this Mon to Thurs > 4:00pm & 8:00pm or Sat  > 9:00am to 12:00pm.

A bit more info:

  • We function on punctuality. ANYONE DOING A TRIAL MUST BE THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE CLASS!
  • TRIALS ARE 2 WAY FOR EVERYONE >> MEANING, we also talk to you about suitability, aptitude and if Phoenix is for you. Children are assessed for effort and behaviour.

  • If any potential member (adult or child) has a diagnosed disorder, is very inactive, or obese they will be required to get specialist medical approval BEFORE doing a trial class or joining.

Adults

The trial is a calendar week starting on the first Monday of each month not a 7 day trial. 

This program is to get every new member past the first awkward challenging stage and comfortable training at Phoenix.  

  • What day do I turn up for my trial? You can start in any class in your trial week. We prefer you start Monday but you can start any day. Just let us know when. 

  • Do I have to attend every class in my trial week? NO, you can do as many or as little as you want to decide if membership is for you. 

  • What do I wear? Anything athletic and easy to exercise in. We do not train in shoes. Most people train in shorts and a t-shirt or singlet. You wont see anyone in lycra tights. 

  • Do  I need my own equipment? No, we will lend you what you need. If you have equipment, bring it in and we will see if it is suitable. 

  • Can I wear any Jewellery? NO, nothing – zippo. Take it out before you start. 

  • Is there a min age? For adult classes the min age is 15. However please talk to us about suitability as it depends on fitness, maturity and size more than age. 

  • Can I start if I am running late? NO 

  • What next? At the end of the week or during, you just join as a member and continue training. 

Children

The trial is a one day trial. It is for both of us to assess suitability.  

  • What day do I turn up for my trial? You book what ever day you want in the first 2 weeks of the school term. 

  • What do I wear? Anything athletic and easy to exercise in. We do not train in shoes. Most people train in shorts and a t-shirt or singlet. 

  • Do  I need my own equipment? No, we will lend you what you need. If you have equipment, bring it in and we will see if it is suitable. 

  • Can I wear any Jewellery? NO, nothing zippo. Take it out before you start. 

  • Is there a min age? Children must have turned 5.  

  • Can I start if I am running late? NO.

  • What next? You join if approved and you want to.
